Eclectica at Himley Hall

Himley Hall is a rather magnificent C18th Palladian house near Wolverhampton, and the textile group Eclectica, of which I am a member, has an exhibition there from April 9th until June 12th. We set the show up yesterday, and it looks good, showing an interesting range of work. The parkland and lake are wonderful too,Capability Brown had a hand in their design,  and it’s open to the public, and free, from 2-5 pm daily. Here are some setting up  images, and some views too.

From the terrace.

The front facade of the house.

A view of the lake, which is actually huge, and has a sailing club.

Kate Brierley’s quilts.

Sarah Edward’s quilts and some of my framed work.

Janet and Marion, with June and Rita’s work.

Janet’s work, which deserves a better photograph.

Marion’s work, also not well photographed but lovely in real life.

One of mine, 14 Books, having another airing.

This is Boboli, another one of mine, with June and John consulting.
