Lawful Basis for Processing Personal Data
Under Article 6 of The GDPR, the lawful basis on which I process personal data received via the comment form is that of “legitimate interest”
What data will I receive relating to you when you submit an enquiry via this form?
When you submit a comment on one of my blog posts, I receive the personally identifiable information which you voluntarily submitted when filling in the comment form (ie, your name and email address and any other personally identifiable information which you choose to include in the comment)
How do I use your data?
When you post a comment on this blog, your personally identifiable information (ie, your name and email address and any personally identifiable information which you choose to include in the comment) will be gathered by WordPress. I never personally store any of your information outside of WordPress, ie on my computer.
I aim for full transparency upon how any personal information is gathered on this blog. Your email address will never be displayed on my blog.
I will never personally share your information with a third party.
I will never use your information to contact you about anything (outside of responding to your comment via my blog) and I will never sign you up to any mailing lists or marketing.
Under The GDPR you are entitled to contact me to obtain a copy of any data concerning you (data that I will have received when you submitted a comment on my blog) and to have any inaccuracies in the data rectified. That said, I do not personally hold any of your data outside of where it is stored on WordPress.
